Evie - Dancing Daisy UHH Foal by Kelly Sealey

Long time no speak!

I finished my first summer placement and jetted straight off to Spain for holiday - twice! I went to the South of the country and then I went to Tenerife with some friends and had an amazing time. However, I came back late last Sunday and got thrown straight into an 8-hour job, a new summer placement. This means I have had no time to update anyone or anything on new things that have been happening in the studio! So more blog posts shall follow over the next few days or so.

The first thing I want to share though is the beautiful Dancing Daisy resin that was sculpted by the very talented UK artist Kelly Sealey for the Utterly Horses Hullabaloo, which is next weekend! Can you believe it?! I have pretty much finished preparing for my workshop although need to completely finish typing up the main points I want to say in the talk... I am very nervous but excited at the same time.

Without further interruption, though, I present Evie, a bay tobiano filly.

I am very pleased with the colour choice I selected for her, and I think I pulled it off really well, it really makes her pop! She is such a wonderful sculpture too and if you are wondering about getting her, just get her! You will definitely not be disappointed. Kelly really has done such a stunning job.

And her face, it just squeals character!

If all goes to plan then she will make her showing debut next week. I am thinking pintabian, perhaps? I am terrible with breeds though and she is a foal so it makes it harder for me, so if anyone has any ideas feel free to give me a shout!

And Kelly, I hope you like her as much as do! I had such fun bringing her to life. Thank you SO much for letting me paint a copy!

  1. She is gorgeous! For a breed maybe National Show Horse (Arabian x Saddlebred). She looks like a filly with a high % Arab blood, so you can make her an NSH with 75% Arab? :)

    1. Thanks for the suggestion, I will have an investigation!
