Utterly Horses Hullabaloo Part One - The National Stud Tour!

And the large amounts of blogging begins from me about the UHH 2014!

I stayed on site this year at the National Stud, where the Hullabaloo is, in Newmarket this year. The event took place for everyone on Friday 29th August until Sunday 31st August, but because I was helping out I turned up early the day before on the Thursday where I also did the stud tour.

If you have never done the tour and wish to do so, I would highly recommend it. We learnt all about the history of the stud, visited the different yards including where the 'magic' happens, the weanlings and even the foaling unit! First of all, we visited the stallions.

the weanlings, taken away from their mummies earlier in the year, were so beautiful! They were also very curious and loved the attention when we went over to see them in their paddock.

If you stop and think about it, you could see these same horses galloping across the finish line in a few years and have the next champion!

... I guess the grass is always greener, eh?!

The next post will be coming up shortly..! I hope you have enjoyed the photos so far. And yes, definitely go on the tour! The best times to go are around April-time, when there will be many bouncy foals apparently.
