The Royal Windsor Horse Show 2017

I went with my partner in crime on the Sunday, the last day where the fabulous Nick Skelton retired with his lovely horse Big Star. I saw many famous faces, including Ben Maher (who ended up walking right past me as he went from the warm up arena back to the stables) and John Whittaker who was walking his horse to and from as well.

One...

Two...

Three! This is Ben Maher riding.
I also spotted Tim Stockdale in the arena, who I actually met a few years ago and he signed my book!

His horse was lovely and chunky, not as lean as the other horses looked but I liked it!

We also walked around where we saw the Hunter trials, Sidesaddle riding and the gorgeous Andalusian and Lusitano horses. But later in the afternoon we went back to the arena where the Shetland Pony Grand National was on!

If you have never seen a Shetland Pony Grand National, I strongly urge you to do so, it is so cute!

After these, we stayed and saw the HouseHold Cavalry's Musical Ride before heading back for the day. It was a lovely ending and although I have seen them perform many times, it continues to be a joy to watch.

Their new drum horse was beautiful!

And probably my favourite photo of the day.

The next real horse event on my list isn't until Christmas time, Olympia. I usually go every year although last year I didn't make it. I definitely missed out!
